She named them the Phantom Cabins. Still in operation today, these rustic cabins are built of wood and native stone blending with the natural beauty of the setting. Colter literally invented the “Rustic Look” that now all National Parks in America incorporate. The vision for Doves Rest in creating our version of Phantom Cabins was blending the same Mary Coulter building tradition into our one-bedroom rustic jewels. We’ve incorporated a similar feel & look that blends with our own unique natural beauty and Native American history.
